19:15. Empire 21. Studio 5.

Baru lihat posternya. Sutradaranya Nayato Fio Nuala. Shit.
Kursi A1. Paling pojok kanan. Satu studio cuma sendiri.
Proyektor menampilkan gambar lulus sensor. Lampu redup namun belum mati.
Mas-mas penyobek tiket masuk, lalu melihat saya sendirian.
“Mas, mau ditemenin nggak?”

19:20. Kursi E1.

Membuka twitter. Menerima berbagai ucapan simpati maupun caci-maki.
Puti: bahkan alay-alay langganan BIP pun punya urusan yang lebih penting malam ini, ram. ck ck.
Ada 3 orang lainnya masuk. Seorang ibu-ibu dan sepasang tante-tante yang humoris.
Untuk alasan yang tidak pernah saya mengerti, mereka ketawa-ketawa sepanjang film.

19:52. Adegan pembicaraan serius 3 anak SMA.

A: “terus bedanya softex sama tampon apa?”

20:23. Adegan di Plaza Indonesia.

B: “IHH raffi afmad my love my baby muah muah”

20:40. Lobby Empire 21.

Selesai menonton pandangan hidup beberapa anak SMA tentang persahabatan dalam konflik video 3GP yang dikemas dengan artistik dalam iklan Nu Green Tea, Geri Coklat Salut, Durex, Softeks, dan Raffi Ahmad.

N.B: Ben, film ini endingnya mereka duduk berempat di padang rumput sambil mendengarkan Meggy Z – Tidak Semua Laki-laki.

Saya baru menonton 500 Days of Summer. Iya, teman-teman saya yang sudah menonton di Hong Kong atau Australia, saya telat (walaupun mungkin saya lebih dulu terobsesi dengan film ini sejak bahkan posternya baru pertama kali muncul).

Iya sih, karena Zooey Deschanel. Really, she’s one of the major attraction here. Every person on earth should be a fan of at least a movie star, and yeah, this movie only reinforced my choice.

Walaupun begitu, awal film ini sudah memberi peringatan kok. “It’s not a love story, it’s a story about love“.

Leganya (dan sedihnya), janji ini ditepati.

Mungkin film ini bukan untuk orang yang mencari jawaban singkat. Film ini malah tidak hanya tidak menjawab apa-apa, tapi malah balik bertanya apa sebenarnya yang kita minta dan tanyakan. Bukannya melegakan tapi malah menghancurkan mimpi indah. Bukannya memperkuat pemikiran saya, malah memberikan perspektif baru. Well, not really new, but still enjoyable to see them in a satisfying, well-thought, kind of bittersweet movie.

Best romantic comedy/tragedy I’ve watched this year (before this: Definitely, Maybe).
A movie that can turn skeptics and optimist into realist.

Note: My favorites are still Sleepless in Seattle and As Good As It Gets.

Hemm ini pemikiran yang muncul karena saya bosan belajar sistem operasi. Tentu saja tidak jauh-jauh dengan topik post-post saya di blog ini biasanya (yeah, that for-God-sake-stop-talking-about-that-bloody-L-word).

OK, here’s the deal: I know with quite a degree of confidence that there’s only two kind of real answers to a confession of love and the will to have a relationship in romantic context.

“Yes” and “No” and nothing else.

Namun lalu saya jadi memikirkan hal lain dibalik itu.
Apakah saya mengerti apa yang sebenarnya saya tanyakan?
Apakah saya mengerti apa yang sebenarnya saya minta?
Apakah saya mengerti apa yang sebenarnya saya mau?

Apakah selama ini saya tidak berani meminta jawaban karena saya tidak yakin apa yang sebenarnya saya tanyakan?

Hmm hanya pemikiran sejenak sih. Thought it would be better to write it down now (in case I’m too busy looking for someone whom i can ask that ultimate question hahaha)

not too long ago, i have wishes.

i wished that someday i just wanted to sat beside you and watched sunday morning cartoons.
i didn’t have tv so i went to your place. i found you just awoken with messy face and hair,
products of your exhausting long weekdays; full of rants and sleepless nights.
you were angry not because i ruined your sleepy sunday,
but because i came before you had a chance to wash your face (at the very least!).
i ate your leftover snacks on the sofa while you were showering.
you were humming silly song. i complained.

we were definitely ugly.
we were infinitely happy.

yet at the time being, it’s clear that those things only exist in my mind alone.
you’re too occupied on watching someone else.

you have beautiful hopes, too.
you hope that someday you’ll watch sunday morning cartoons with him.
he’ll pick you up to his comfortable house with plush sofas and a lot of sodas.
you’ll make him pancakes while he took a bath (he’s just back from morning walk)
he’ll be humming silly song. you’ll complain.

your perfect hope,

until then, you have me.
luckily i always try to be what you need.
